Your responsibilities
Your tenancy is
a weekly tenancy and your rent becomes due each Monday. You can pay
your rent any day during the same week but you must make your payment
by 4.45pm on the Friday otherwise you will be in arrears. If you do
not pay your rent you risk losing your home.
Please look
after your Rent Payment Card. It is your receipt for rent paid. Please
do not fold or crease the card. We recommend that you keep previous
years' Rent Payment Cards as evidence of your payments.
You should
ensure the receipted amount on your Rent Payment Card is correct as
this is your official receipt.
If payments
are made without your Rent Payment Card you will be issued with a
receipt, which must be kept as proof of payment. Your Rent Payment
Card can be updated at your convenience by presenting the receipt
at any Housing Office.
Your Rent Payment
Card remains the property of R.B.H. and you must surrender it on request
for audit purposes.
